This photo does not accurately capture my most frightening encounter with feral cats this whole trip. In Nagasaki, I ventured into a small local park after spotting a feral cat. I noticed a small garbage collection area adjacent to the park and saw a couple cats. I started shooting, then slowly realized that there were at least 5 cats in the park. They had me surrounded! Luckily I was able to narrowly escape before they closed the gate and locked me in. Alicia admitted that she may have been too scared to help if they would have abducted me. Close call, but I’m glad I was able to capture this photo.
